Meanwhile, the Bain that had headed to the forests in the south of the Untamed Lands was not finding himself quite as lucky. He had encountered a goblin scouting party and demanded to be taken to their leader. They started leading him, when they sprang their ambush. There were about twenty goblins in the attack but Bain was able to destroy all but one of them without receiving any significant damage. He picked up the remaining goblin and looked him in the eye.

After seeing off his men the morning they had all left, Bain sped off as quickly as he could towards the Untamed Lands. He knew that this was the wild part of the continent, the part where he would be able to recruit monsters of all style to his cause. He entered the lands almost a week after he had set out for he had run into a few scouting patrols that needed to be silenced. Upon his arrival he began to think about how he should go about recruiting. He didn’t really think that he should split himself again, simply because there was no telling if these creatures would attack him. But

Dace and his men continued on their quest to gather men in the various cities across the continent. He did however send a few people to gather information about the strange number of races that seemed to be marching out. When those he sent out returned he was shocked by the news. Not only were the human kingdoms attacking as a group of one, but apparently they had also held a council of all races and the elves and dwarves were also joining in the attack. But what really shocked him was that a few times he heard rumor that there were actually angels coming down to help organize things

The next morning, Bain and the selected groups of mercenaries left the mountain fortress. As they left, Bain told many of his undead guards to bury themselves and come out in case of attack. He hid many in overhangs and crevices along the way as well, not to stop an advancing army so much as to give the remaining mercenaries time to prepare. When they reached the base of the mountain Bain cast an enhanced speed spell upon all of them, including himself. Each of the five groups took off in a different direction, heading directly towards the cities they were to recruit from. Bain headed
